A Chinese Porcelain pair of rounded tureens with cover and platters, East India Company, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), Qianlong Period (1736-1795). The body of the tureens presents underglaze blue decoration representing floral motifs and geometric pattern in the frieze of the foot. The covers, with peach shaped knobs, presents an identical decoration. The platters are decorated with floral motifs in the centre and the rim presents a geometric frieze with four reserves on which are represented pomegranates, fruit of happiness and symbol of fertility for its many seeds. The platters base it’s decorated with vegetal motifs.
