An octogonal Chinese porcelain tureen with cover and platter, East India Company, from the Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), Qianlong Period (1736-1795). Decorated with Flight and Motherby marriage coat-of-arms, with the Latin inscription Sed Majora Petimus (We require greater). Presented polychrome Famille Rose decoration depicting vegetal motifs. The knob of the cover is shaped like a Foo Dog, and the sides handles like a wild boar’s head.
